- Multilayer support: Often used for high-quality lacquered skirting boards, it offers great stability and is intermediate in cost.
- MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard): It is the cheapest substrate, but also the least resistant, especially to moisture.
- Height and Thickness: For the same material, a taller and thicker skirting board will require more raw material and will therefore cost more. A 12 cm high skirting board will cost more than a 7 cm high one.
